Cinefex magazine, is published in America, it covers the visual effects of movies. Each issue features long, detailed articled that describe the creative and technical processes behind the films. There are interviews with effects artists. There are photos of behind the scene showing the progression of visual effects. We also get a glimpse of the make-up team and props. The main focus is on the science-fiction genre, the people who read it tend to be familiar or interested in the information, behind the scene aspects of the film and the making of the movie. The front cover does not feature a well-known celebrity, it has an image of a sci-fi character, this tells the audience what the magazine is offering, there is no bold eye-catching colours or fonts, if we compare this magazine to Empire magazine, we see the difference between how the audience is targeted in terms of the layout, fonts and imagery.
